The 15th ADOBLO Dog Walk

As early as 6.35 am, dogs and their owners had begun to gather in front of the Post Office at Sapon, Abeokuta. The DJ set the mood with melodic music as more members arrived. The ADOBLO President, Mr. Kuro John Ngoboh gave an opening speech as he advised owners/guardians to shorten the length of their dog's leashes, watch them as the walk progressed and ensure spacing between dogs. The walk began soon after this in the direction of the Governor's Lodge at Isale-Igbein, with dogs and men (including women) exercising and dancing rhythmically to the DJ’s fine tunes and under the pleasant weather.

The 15th edition of the ADOBLO Dog Walk was another huge success and no casualties or attacks were recorded. Appreciation to Dr. Olumide Sorunmu, the General Secretary and a Veterinary Doctor, who was on hand for dog-related incidences. Gratitude also goes to Femi Lukan (KFenny) who gave everyone tips on care and handling for dogs. Members present had the opportunity to introduce themselves and their canine buddies as the mic was passed around.
As customary at ADOBLO events, there was a lot of networking among breeders and lovers - to meet mating partners for their dogs, learn from fellow breeders and possibly do business later. All non-members registered for the Walk and their pictures are also featured here. Dog breeds present at the walk included South African Boerboel, Doberman, German Shepherd/Alsatian, American Pit Bull Terrier and Rottweiler.

Accolades goes to the team that made the walk a success - Oladiran Akande (Orlasdog), Wale Bakare (Walebak), Precious Ezenwa (Presh), Yomi Shonde, Mr. Oladipupo, Dayo Abiola (Dee Baba), Dolapo Taiwo (Dolly P), Yemi Okuneye, David Oluwaseun (Bobo), and EVERYONE that came out to make the dog walk a huge success!
